About Special Guest Judge Michael Kagan 

Michael Kagan in an award-winning artist who has had solo and group exhibitions showcasing his artistic talents all over the world.

A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Kagan displays his lifelong interest in NASA, technology, space and innovation in his artwork.

Kagan, now living and working in Brooklyn, New York, has an exhibition in his hometown’s Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art entitled “Michael Kagan: I Was There When It Happened.”

Kagan has a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., in 2003, and a Master of Fine Arts and a postgraduate fellowship from the New York Academy of Art in New York in 2005.

In 2003, Kagan was the recipient of the Morris M. Aein Memorial Prize in Drawing.
